Nakoor, (nalaku ooru) in Kannada means four surrounding villages, which over the years was anglicanised to Nakoor. Volkot was the surname of two Swiss brothers who traded coffee during the pre-independence era and owned this plantation, hence the name Nakoor Volkot.

Nakoor Volkot is set amidst a coffee, pepper and orange plantation. It is a secluded independent homestay with scenic greenery and close to the Harangi backwaters, which makes Nakoor Volkot a bird watcher’s paradise.

Whether this is your first visit, or you have been a guest many times, we want your experience to be memorable. We are always available to help with any questions or concerns you may have.

Amenities
Nakoor Volkot is an independent bungalow with two spacious bedrooms, a drawing room, dining room and three attached toilets.

We offer a complimentary breakfast. Dinner is on prior request. However, if you are in a mood to cook, a kitchen for self-cooking is available.

Taxi for pick up and drop to Sunticoppa bus stand and for sightseeing can be organised on prior request, at an additional cost.

Things to do
Being a scenic paradise, nature lovers can drive around the countryside. Explore the plantation with its Coffee plants, Pepper vines and Fruit trees. Alternatively, you could walk to the Harangi backwaters for a magnificent sunrise.

After a sumptuous breakfast, you could explore Coorg by visiting the Tibetan Golden Temple, Cauvery Nisargadama, Harangi Dam, Dubare Elephant Camp, Talacauvery etc.

For trekking, we recommend Thadiyandamol, Pushpagiri, Brahmagiri, Kotebetta, Chomakundhu, Nishanimotte.

In the evenings relax beside a campfire.
